Spotify users who pay for premium are currently limited to 320kbps. Free users get half that at 160kbps, which is equivalent to an MP3. There are arguments that question if most people can tell the difference between standard 320kbps audio and CD-quality lossless audio. If you’re wondering whether you can tell the difference, get your ears ready and take a little test; it’s more difficult than you think!
Spotify say they will soon be rolling out more details about this service, such as price, compatible devices, launch dates and the territories it’ll launch in.
