There have been all sorts of rumours bouncing around since the rise of AI. Will marketing teams be out of jobs? Will content creators need to change up their game? The short answer is no, but let’s take a look…
Everything you own in the box to the left… Irreplaceable… BeyoncĂ©? I mean, if you didn’t get the GIF, maybe being replaced is the right route for you *sigh*
I’m kidding… kind of… as the song suggests, you can’t be replaced. AI has its uses, but it isn’t you. The success of platforms like ChatGPT seemed to come out of nowhere. Almost overnight we went from no AI (commonly used anyway), to everyone using ChatGPT for their daily digital chores. Don’t get me wrong, there is a whole world of possibility.
The use of ChatGPT isn’t something we should ignore, it has a whole heap of positives. But, it isn’t the only creative outlet. In fact, it’s more likely that content creators and ChatGPT will work in harmony. Rather than one replacing the other. The opportunities for collaboration (if you can call it that) really are endless. Well, is it a collab if it’s AI and a human?
AI experts themselves don’t feel these platforms should be used to replace creatives. In fact, ChatGPT alone was created to enhance ideas and performance. Use it as a way of brainstorming ideas and expanding your current ones. There are many ways various AI tools can cut down the mundane areas of your daily work.
Let’s have a look
Expand vocabulary and correct grammar
If you’re someone who likes creative writing but perhaps can’t always find the words you’re looking for, platforms like ChatGPT might be useful. You can use them to change up your written work and turn it from something slightly more basic, to an article with a wow factor. Of course, this might depend on your target audience.
Maybe your readers enjoy the laid back, chill writing style. If that’s the case, ChatGPT probably isn’t going to be your best friend. However, if you’re looking to use more technical language, or need a new way of engaging your readers – it could be a tool to use in your work. Maybe you could find the terminology you’ve been missing.
AI technology is extremely smart. It could write an article for you in minutes, and you won’t have to question the grammar choices. When writing yourself, it might be that you have a hard time knowing when to use punctuation. Or, what word to use in a certain situation. AI tools won’t have this problem, so you can be sure you’ll have perfect grammar.
Create keywords and inviting headlines
Using various AI platforms allows you to come up with a list of keywords which could benefit your website. Keywords allow you to increase your audience. They target individuals across the web and perform well within search engines. If you have a product or service to promote, you’ll want to look into your keywords.
Creating headlines which will draw people in is a must too. It can be easy to write an article, but not always easy to create headlines that can’t be ignored. Especially when there are lots of articles about the same subject. Your headline needs to stand out, but that isn’t always an easy task. AI can help though, it could give you the headline you need.
Image creation
If you’re struggling to create the right kinds of images, maybe you don’t have the expensive software, or you just don’t know how to do it – you might find AI is what you’re missing. Across so many AI image platforms, you can simply input text describing what you want to see. From there, the platform will create an image it thinks you might like.
The best bit is, it’s new ideas every time. So, you aren’t going to come across an image someone else has used. The ideas are still yours. You have asked the AI for what you want. The only part you haven’t completed is making an image from scratch. But, with AI it isn’t copyright, nor is it cheating. Give your social accounts a boost, without any stress.
So, you can relax. If you’re a content creator of any kind, you’re safe. AIs were introduced to enhance creative content, rather than to replace the human making it. There’s no need to panic. Using AI within your work isn’t a bad thing. If you haven’t already tried it, then you really should. Perhaps it’s what you’ve been missing.
