Every year around Autumn, Apple release their latest gadgets. Some wait all year for the new iPhone, ready to get their hands on it. But, Apple have announced many products we can expect to see very soon.
In September this year, Apple will officially release the iPhone 16. It’s a time in the year which all tech-crazed individuals prepare for because so many need to get their hands on the latest Apple device. Well, this year, Apple have announced a lot of new products.
iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max differs from the standard iPhone 16 it seems. It will have a huge upgrade compared with the previous year’s model. These phones are set to include larger displays, at 6.6 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max.
Previously, the Pro models were 6.1 and 6.7 so they have grown by 0.2 inches on both models. There will also be a dedicated hardware button for controlling the camera, and the camera itself will be upgraded. These cameras will see an improved Ultra Wide camera.
They’ll also have low light performance better than ever before and 5x optical zoom. It seems Apple are determined to make their smartphones as useful as a DSLR. They’ve even added an A18 Pro chip, which has been built for the purpose of AI. All heading into the future.
iPhone 16 and 16 Plus
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus both have the same display size as the previous models. However, the models differ massively because the 16 models might have the A18 Pro chip just like the Pro versions. That’s something that wouldn’t have happened previously.
Apple are excellent at gatekeeping much loved features. So, it would be expected that only those who buy the very best model can access the high quality features. But, it seems Apple might be changing things up and offering this chip to other models.
They’re also added the camera hardware button with the iPhone 16 models. It’s known to many as a capture button. However, we can expect to see higher quality picture and camera improvements too. Oh, and the most exciting part? There will be new colour options.
AirPods 4
AirPods don’t seem to change all that much… well, not to the average person anyway. However, those who really know a thing or two about sound quality and audio control might disagree. But, just like with other products, Apple are launching new AirPods.
However, this time, they’re launching two separate tiers of AirPods. There will be a lower priced version and a premium version. Hopefully, ensuring their products are more affordable and can be accessed by a large audience. But, we expect both pairs to be expensive.
Not only are they adding new AirPods, but Apple are removing 2 and 3 from their catalogue, so no longer will these be available to purchase directly though the company. Both new models will have a USB-C charging case and high-quality noise cancellation.
AirPods Max 2
Apple are introducing a new pair of AirPods Max. They have had one version for quite some time, however, now, we’re expected to see the AirPods Max 2. These will also switch from a lighting cable to a USB-C charging wire.
Along with this, the AirPods Max will see new features which will be exclusive to this particular model. Features such as Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness and Personalised Audio. The price point of these likely won’t be cheap.
Apple Watch Series 10
With the new Apple Watch Series 10, the screen sizes will be bigger than ever before. The smaller screen size will now be the same size as the current larger screen. With the series 10, the larger screen will become the same size as the Ultra screen size.
Despite the screen size growing, the case will reduce in size. The newer models will also have a more powerful chip and health sensors will start detecting conditions such as hypertension and sleep apnea which would be revolutionary.
Apple Watch Ultra 3
The Apple Watch Ultra has proved to be extremely popular. Since it was first launched in 2022, there have been multiple updates. However, now, Apple are launching a new watch. But, not a lot is really known about how the Ultra 3 will differ from previous models.
It will of course be more powerful than the current models and will likely be an improvement on the Apple Watch Series 10. However, if it’s not, it will at least match the features offered in the series 10. One huge selling point, however, is the new space black titanium option.
M4 MacBook Pro
Copying the M4 chip within the current iPad Pro, the MacBook Pro will be making an appearance this Autumn. This is a nice, shiny new MacBook model which will have the high quality chip that hasn’t been place into one of their previous models.
There should be a MacBook M4, as well as an M4 Pro and M4 Max. The difference will likely only be the sizing of the screens. There won’t be huge redesigns between the different models, and none of them will differ too much from previous laptops.
iPad Mini 7
Apple haven’t updated their iPad Mini since 2021. However, it seems like this year will be the year that changes. There will be a new line of iPads launching from September onwards. One being the new iPad Mini, which will have an upgraded display.
The chip built into the devices will be updated, and it has been suggested Apple might even move to the M-class chip, so the iPad becomes compatible with Apple Intelligence features. However, the look of the iPad won’t change from previous years.
iPad 11th gen
Every so many devices, Apple release coloured options. It seems to skip so many, and then they’ll reintroduce it to spark excitement. The new iPad 11th gen is no different. This model is the chosen one and will come in a range of different colours.
Aside from bright, fun colours, the new iPad is said to be more powerful, harnessing a new chip. However, there isn’t a huge hardware redesign, so the actually iPad itself will appear the same as previous models. It could draw in a younger audience, though.
M4 iMac
Alongside the M4 MacBook Pro, Apple are launching the M4 iMacs. These will be released before 2024 is over. However, there won’t be new designs or features. But, there will be a cool selection of colours up for grabs, which will please a lot of buyers.
It hasn’t been confirmed, but many are expecting a USB-C accessories option with the new M4 iMacs. That’s because it hasn’t been an option previously, and of course for many Apple users, this is frustrating. But, other products of theirs are getting the option, so it’s a possibility.
