Deezer and DAZN are collaborating to offer their users discounted subscriptions. Those who enjoy streaming both music and sports will be able to combine their subscription to reduce the costs.

For those who aren’t aware, DAZN is a sports streaming platform. It allows viewers to watch all sorts of sports games, matches and competitions through a paid subscription. Likewise, Deezer is one for the music fans. It is an online streaming platform for music.

Whether you’re into RnB, Hip-Hop, Pop or Country, you can access your favourite songs and artists through Deezer’s app or online streaming service. Again, this is for users who pay for a monthly subscription. Allowing them to listen ad-free.

Now, the two companies are combining, well… sort of. They’re introducing a joint collaborative subscription. This will lower the cost overall for those who use both services. It is a chance for sports and music lovers to combine their two hobbies and pay a smaller fee.

The service will first be launching in France. Users will be able to access content from both Deezer and DAZN through a streamlined service. There will be various offers that will encourage users to stay on board with both services.

This will be a “multi-year joint distribution partnership” so, we can expect to see the two platforms cross-over in many ways. The payment will be seamless, so there will be no more paying two companies separately (well, so they suggest).

Users will experience discounted premium services and sports content at their fingertips. It’s likely Deezer user’s will have a discount to anything DAZN has to offer. Then, later down the line, the offer will reverse, and DAZN users will get more from Deezer too.

It’s a great opportunity for fans of sports and music, but also for the two companies. If any users of one platform are using a rival company for the other streaming service, this collab might encourage them to switch. Meaning, both platforms will gain from this.
