Popular high-quality airline Emirates are partnering with the well-known and well-used music streaming platform Spotify. The partnership is said to upgrade the flight experience.
Taking Spotify to new heights, literally. Spotify and Emirates are partnering to add in-flight entertainment. Emirates customers will now be able to listen to podcasts and playlists curated by Spotify while sitting back and relaxing on their flight.
Emirates’ in-house entertainment system, known as ice, will now hold the app Spotify, so music fans can listen to their favourite artists without needing to drain their own devices of battery. Listeners can browse more easily on the screens in front of their seats.
“At Spotify, we want to be everywhere our listeners are, so we’re thrilled to partner with Emirates to deliver best-in-class playlist and podcast entertainment for fliers around the world.”
Ian Geller, VP of Business Development at Spotify

Emirates even offer a mobile app which will allow customers to create their own playlists, which can then be synced to their onboard screen. It’s a fun partnership which should make for smoother journeys – especially for those long haul flights.
