The team at PUSH love hearing about the experiences our users have had so far. We want to know how your journeys have unravelled and where our tools come into this. It’s our mission to provide marketing tools that suit everyone, so understanding what our users want and why is really beneficial.
We believe Pre-saves are a must-have tool for all musicians. They allow your audience to save your music ahead of release day. You’re then guaranteeing listeners when your new tracks drop. The music is automatically placed into their libraries, so they don’t need to search for it. Being a free tool through PUSH, they’re a win-win. Your fans don’t have to work for the music, and you get to promote just one URL containing your store links.
They can be customised to suit you. Therefore, they’re working with your branding to speak for your music. PUSH have worked hard to make our links as customisable as possible. We believe your fans should be able to tell it’s you just from your landing page. The best part is, we offer automatic link conversions when your track(s) goes live. This means, when the Pre-save is no longer active, because your music is available – your link will turn into a Fan Link. If you have any questions you can either reach out to us through our social media platforms, or message us through your PUSH account!
We were lucky enough to have a chat with the band, The Ridleys about their music journey. They’re an Alternative-Folk band, and we wanted to know what their experience has been so far within the music industry!
The Ridleys
How would you describe what you do in one sentence?
We are a band that tells stories through songs.
What’s been your most exciting project to date?
The latest project will always be the most exciting. For now, we can’t wait for people to hear our new album, Until I Reach the Sun, which is a collection of personal stories with a central theme: home, and what it means to us.
What would you say is the biggest struggle you face as an independent creator?
Like most independent bands, we struggle with the lack of resources. This restricts us from working on our music full-time. It also hinders us from getting music “out there,” since we’d rather spend on studio time and sound engineering instead of marketing and advertisements. But these struggle don’t discourage us; in fact, these challenges motivate us to push forward and keep creating. It’s these hardships that make even the smallest wins worth celebrating.
How has PUSH helped you as an independent creator?
It’s extremely encouraging to see people pre-saving the tracks we worked so hard for. Seeing 1,000 link visits and 300 Pre-saves, for example, is already a big win for us. That’s 1,000 curious people and 300 eager listeners! Those numbers aren’t huge by music industry standards. But to an independent band like us, one person listening to the stories we want to tell means the world to us.
What PUSH tool or feature would you most likely recommend to other independent creators and why?
Pre-saves help us a lot, especially because that one link can turn into a Fan Link, which contains all the links to our release on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music. A simple Pre-save link makes it so much easier for loyal fans, casual listeners, and even curious passers-by to find our music. And it’s free!
