How would you describe what you do in one sentence?
I create music to empower, uplift, inspire, & progress this world; making positive change and opening minds through meaningful and thought-provoking music & creative works.
What’s been your most exciting project to date?
My most exciting project to date has definitely been my debut album, SEVERANCE (2021). The project was more than a year in the making and drew from a lifetime of experiences battling with mental health, self-image, and having to overcome adversities. It’s definitely the most personal project I’ve created, though I’m always challenging myself to go deeper with my concepts and songwriting in an effort to really embody what it means to be an artist.
What would you say is the biggest struggle you face as an independent creator?
The biggest struggle I face as an independent creator is building community. There are so many talented creatives out there whom I’d love to work with and befriend, but sometimes exchanges can feel completely business-oriented or transactional. Connecting with like-minded artists and thinkers is incredibly important to me, but having conversations, sharing our creations and supporting one another in the pursuit of our passions is really where the magic lies.
How has PUSH helped you as an independent creator?
As an independent creator, PUSH has helped me to simplify things when it comes to the release process. Being independent, you took on many more roles than just the artist, which in turn leaves so many small details to account for when releasing music. PUSH makes my life (as well as my fans lives) easier by conveniently organizing all my links in one place.
What PUSH tool or feature would you most likely recommend to other independent creators and why?
Thus far, the PUSH tool I’d recommend the most to other creators would definitely be Smart Links. The platform itself is designed to be sleek and accessible, and the link-building process can happen in a matter of minutes.
